Seven
Stars Shiatsu is a natural healing center located in Essendon (adjacent
to Woodlands Park), operated by Steven Booth, an experienced Shiatsu
Therapist and Tai Chi Instructor
He provides Shiatsu Therapy, and a range of healing modalilities
including pranic healing, ear candling, cupping and moxabustion,
meditation, meridian exercises, specialised treatments during
pregnancy, as well as regular classes in taijiquan (Tai Chi),
baguazhang (Pa Kua) and qigong (Chi Kung).
He also has a sacred space available for classes and workshops by
arrangement.

Why 'Seven Stars'?
The name "Seven Stars Shiatsu" originates in its relationship
with:
- Tai Chi posture "Step forward to open the Seven Stars", which can be used as a qi gong posture to 'open' the seven heavenly input (star) points allowing 'outer qi' to be mixed with 'inner qi'.
- These points, where heavenly qi is said to enter the body,
make up the acupuncture point combination known as 'The 7 Star
Points'. These points are located at: Crown (GV 20), both
sides of the neck (SI 16), both shoulders (LI14), and buttocks (GB 30).
- The seven Chakra centres, and the number seven in spiritual / esoteric philosophy in general, eg: the seven cycles of the medicine wheel, “seventh heaven”, the seven planes of existence, etc
- The constellation Pleiades (seven sisters) & associated mythology from around the world.
Although these relationships are unlikely to be apparent initally, they might still appeal in a general or archetypal way.

Level of Experience
Steven has a natural gift at working with his clients, and has
witnessed amazing changes happen within a person during sessions.
He is passionate about helping others reach their potential, and
believes that we all have the power to heal and live a full and
powerful life.
Steven has a firm belief in the benefit of energetic practices, and
their ability to help a person heal in a holistic way. In his
treatments, Steven aims not only to alleviate the physical symptoms
presenting – but also focuses on helping to improve the state of mind
of his clients, so that they experience can a greater feeling of
overall wellness and health.
Steven comes from a linage of healers: his father is a GP and surgeon, and his grandfather was a skilled first-aider and bodyworker who introduced him to (electo-)acupuncture at age 9.
As he is a father of four children, and his partner is a
Doula/Midwife, Steven has naturally developed a special
interest and high level of skill in working with pregnant women,
Steven is also particularly interested in working with people that are
experiencing shifts on the emotional and psycho-spiritual levels, and
who are undergoing various kinds personal or spiritual transformations.
His current studies include Diploma in Transpersonal Counselling
(Phoenix Institute of Victoria ), and Master Cert. in Dragon Gate
Daoyin Therapy
